Black Lives Matter in New Brunswick Education Project
Addressing Anti-Black Racism in New Brunswick Classrooms & Schools
Anti-Black racism is pervasive in New Brunswick schools at multiple levels: through individual actions (e.g. racist language), school policies (e.g. dress codes), curricular erasures (the purposeful forgetting of Black histories and contributions in Social Studies and History classrooms). Our project seeks to address and unsettle these practices, and offer anti-racist pedagogies and practices to incorporate into New Brunswick schools.
